In this video, Katherine Bussey discusses some of the ways she demonstrates respect for infants and toddlers in her daily practice.

Katherine Bussey first discovered her enthusiasm for infants and toddlers in her second year of a BEd after learning about Magda Gerber's philosophy of respect.

She has completed two sets of training at the Pikler Institute in Hungary in 2004 and 2006. In 2008 Katherine went to Seattle, USA to complete her RIE Fundamentals training.

Katherine has been instrumental in bringing  RIE training to Aotearoa and works full time with infants and their families. In 2010 she attended the PITC Infant and Toddler Teacher Training with Ronald Lally. She enjoys teaching teachers and student teachers and is passionate about positively changing the care and education of infants and toddlers in New Zealand.
