Mandy, thanks so much for sharing - what an amazing collection of resources.  Nga mihi Smile

We have been using iPads to record childrens retelling of the maui stories. This is a video of their movie. This came from their investigation into matariki and have developed into a project exploring the different myths.

Here is our video retelling our story

    Kia Ora EY whānau,

Ka Pai Amy!  What fabulous mahi:-)  Thank you so much for sharing.  I love using the Reomations housed on the TKI website.   Iki Iti Ika Nui was always a favourite.  These are a great provacation for creating our own reomations too.  A perfect time during Te wiki o Te Reo Māori to incorporate digital storytelling and increase opportunities for oral language :-)

    Tumeke Amy!!

Thank you for sharing this wonderful resource your tamariki have created.  Te Whatu Pōkeka (pg. 60) describes how the Best of Both World Centre “has for many years seen Māui as a mentor, an inspiration for the centres practice. “

Māui has many characteristics that ngā tamariki ‘ways of knowing’ are heightened when they explore these pakiwaitara.

What talents/abilities do the tamariki at your Centre think Māui has?

     Great sharing ...
